Images In Vogue 12" EP

October 1983

IIV’s first major label release was this 5-song EP featuring the single Lust For Love. For Germans was converted from 16 tracks to 24 track and the German voices were added. During the fall of 1983 the band recorded Masks, which features Glen playing a Mellotron (borrowed from Strange Advance), Just Like You, which had been written during IIV’s 1983 Canadian tour and a new version of Breaking Up.

The Images In Vogue EP received many nominations for CFNY’s 1984 U-KNOW awards, where IIV received a U-KNOW for Most Promising Group and Dale received a U-KNOW for Most Promising Vocalist. As well, Steven Gilmore received the Best Album Artwork award at the 1984 West Coast Music Awards while Doug Bennett received the award for Best Video for Lust For Love.
